March is a month of preparation. Our team is busy clearing fields, preparing beds, and ensuring all equipment is ready for the busy months ahead. The fields may look dormant, but beneath the surface, our 150,000+ asparagus crowns are awakening from winter dormancy.
There's nothing quite like seeing those first green spears break through the soil. After months of waiting, the first emergence signals that harvest season is imminent. This is the most exciting moment of our entire year – the culmination of patience and care finally visible.
Once harvest begins, our daily routine shifts into high gear. Every morning, our dedicated team walks the rows selecting spears at perfect maturity. This daily rhythm continues through October, bringing fresh, tender asparagus to families across Wisconsin.
